Dairy-Free Diet

The Dairy-Free Diet will benefit anyone who cannot digest lactose, who is allergic to dairy, or who has a personal or health issue that eliminates dairy products from his or her diet. This diet completely eliminates all types of dairy products including, milk, cheese, yoghurt and butter while incorporating dairy-free foods that are rich in calcium and vitamin D content. The food that are allowed are fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains, and low fat dairy products if the child can tolerate them, and there are vegan options such as almond milk, coconut yogurt, and vegan cheeses. So called elimination foods includes products that contain either milk or milk products.
